Paint Protection Film

The Film Takes the Hit. The Paint Never Knows.

A clear urethane layer, pattern-cut for your exact vehicle before it ever touches the car. Chips, road rash, and parking-lot scratches land on the film — and the minor ones heal themselves.

Protect the Panels That Take the Punishment — or All of Them

Every option below arrives in your quote as written line items, panel by panel, with one total. Same price book at all three shops.

Partial Front

Bumper, the leading portion of the hood and fenders, and mirrors. The classic starting point — covers the zone that catches most freeway debris.

1 day in the bay

Full Front

Full bumper, full hood, full fenders, mirrors, and door edges — no visible line halfway up the hood. The coverage most of our customers choose.

1–2 days · Most popular

Track Package

Full front plus rocker panels, A-pillars, the roof's leading edge, and headlights — the extra zones that spirited driving and gravel roads find first.

2–3 days

Full Body

Every painted panel, wrapped edges where the panel allows. For the car you plan to keep — the film takes the miles so the paint doesn’t have to.

Three Finishes

Invisible — or a Whole New Look

Gloss paint protection film on a dark blue sports car

Gloss

Optically clear. The car looks exactly like it did the day you got it — it just stays looking that way. Most people can't spot gloss film from two feet away.

Stealth satin paint protection film in gunmetal

Stealth Satin

The same protection with a factory-satin appearance — it turns gloss paint into a smooth matte finish without ever touching the paint underneath. Fully reversible, because it's film, not paint.

And you can mix them: a gloss body with a stealth hood and roof is a favorite build — one car, two finishes, all protected.

Color-change paint protection film in satin crimson

Color

The newest chapter: protection in an actual new color — solid hues, satins, and metallics that change the car's look while armoring it. The palette is smaller than a vinyl wrap's and the ticket is bigger — but unlike a wrap, this film is protecting the paint the whole time.

And when you want the original back, it comes off clean.

How It's Done

Five Steps. One Standard. One Documented Walkaround.

Film locks in whatever's underneath it — which is why the prep gets as much time as the install.

1 · Wash & Decontaminate

The paint is cleaned to bare-surface honest — film over grit is a defect waiting to surface.

2 · Correct If Needed

Existing swirls or marks get polished out first. The film preserves the paint exactly as it is — so we make sure "as it is" is right.

3 · Patterns First

Panels are machine-cut for your exact year, make, and model before they reach the car. Vintage bodies and custom coverage are hand-fit by the shop’s most senior installers — knifeless techniques first, the blade only where mastery earns it.

4 · Install & Set

Applied by a certified installer — two of them on the big panels, because a full hood takes four hands. Edges wrapped where the panel allows, then set properly before the car moves.

5 · The Walkaround

Every install ends with a documented final walkaround against the written quote — panel by panel, before pickup.

Straight Talk

What Film Does — and What It Doesn't

You're spending real money. You should know exactly what it buys.

  • It stops chips and scratches. Film is the only product that physically absorbs an impact before it reaches paint. Ceramic coating doesn't do this — no coating does.
  • Minor damage heals itself. The self-healing top coat lets light swirls and scratches disappear with heat — sun on the driveway usually does it.
  • It won't stop a door ding. Film protects the surface, not the sheet metal. A shopping cart can still dent a panel — it just won't scratch it on the way in.
  • It can't fix what's already there. Existing chips and scratches get corrected before film goes on, or they're sealed in. We'll tell you which panels need correction in the written quote — never as a surprise at drop-off.
  • Sometimes the honest answer is “not yet” — or “no.” A fresh repaint needs time to cure before film goes over it, and failing clear coat can make film a bad idea entirely. That's why every quote follows a look at the car — fifteen minutes, any shop, no charge. If your paint isn't a good candidate, we'll say so before you've spent a dollar.
  • It's warrantied for the long haul. The films we install carry manufacturer-backed warranties measured in years, not seasons — against yellowing, cracking, and peeling. The terms come with your paperwork, in writing like everything else.
